Terms & Conditions

A collaborative alliance of ecosystem builders, innovation partners, and ecosystem enablers across Southeast Asia. These Terms & Conditions outline the roles, responsibilities, and code of conduct for all members based on their membership tiers.

I. General Principles (Applicable to All Members)

All members must:

  • Uphold the values of collaboration, transparency, and respect.
  • Act in the best interests of the Southeast Asia innovation ecosystem.
  • Avoid any behavior that may cause reputational or operational harm to ATLAS or its members.
  • Maintain confidentiality of internal information unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
    Ensure representation by decision-makers or relevant delegates in ATLAS-related activities.

II. Membership Tiers and Specific Guidelines

1. Founding Members

Do

  • Actively co-develop the strategic direction of ATLAS.
  • Lead and host key events or initiatives annually.
  • Vote on governance matters and decision-making frameworks.
  • Nominate representatives to the ATLAS Executive Board.
  • Participate in quarterly strategic meetings.
  • Provide thought leadership and ecosystem reports relevant to SEA.

Don’t:

  • Unilaterally make decisions on behalf of ATLAS without a collective agreement.
  • Publicly represent ATLAS without alignment on messaging.
  • Use ATLAS branding for commercial activities without written approval.
  • Miss more than two consecutive quarterly meetings without prior notice.

2. Strategic Members

Role & Criteria:
Strategic Members are national ecosystem builders and key innovation enablers in their respective countries. To qualify, Strategic Members must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a recognized national-level or cross-border ecosystem enabler.
  • Actively build and support the startup/entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Facilitate regional partnerships, investment, or innovation programs.
  • Have a track record of influence in policy, capital, or startup growth.

Do:

  • Represent ecosystem needs and opportunities from their country.
  • Participate in regional collaboration initiatives and working groups.
  • Support data sharing, knowledge exchange, and research insights.
  • Co-develop programs, pilots, or campaigns with ATLAS.
  • Nominate points of contact for operations and partnership alignment.

Don’t:

  • Claim equal governance rights as Founding Members unless designated.
  • Engage in self-promotional activities using ATLAS affiliation without context.
  • Disclose confidential discussions without permission.
  • Represent other organizations under ATLAS without transparency.

ATLAS Members
Open to broader community members (accelerators, incubators, VCs, etc.)

Do:

  • Join ATLAS community events, workshops, and ecosystem showcases.
  • Share local ecosystem insights, reports, or data when possible.
  • Contribute to cross-border innovation initiatives voluntarily.
  • Access community resources and regional visibility platforms.
  • Collaborate with other members on mutual-interest programs.

Don’t:

  • Misrepresent themselves as Founding or Strategic Members.
  • Use the ATLAS name/logo for marketing without approval.
  • Expect voting rights or decision-making roles in strategic matters.
  • Conduct activities that may compete with or undermine ATLAS objectives.

III. Use of Brand and Communication

  • All use of the ATLAS name, logo, and branding materials must be pre-approved in writing.
  • Members must align with ATLAS communication team for co-branded announcements.
  • Unauthorized or misleading use of branding may result in membership termination.

IV. Termination & Suspension

  • ATLAS reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership if:
  • A member violates any of the terms stated above.
  • There is inactivity or non-engagement for more than 6 months.
  • Actions by the member bring reputational harm to the alliance.

V. Amendments

These terms are subject to review and revision by Founding Members. Strategic and ATLAS Members will be notified in advance of any material changes.
